( 11:49 PM )
We first started at strangers, but all who have a common goal – to help those who are less fortunate than us. We went through the interview, and succeeded. Now, we have 29 people to our name, people whom we call our family. Together, we form OCIP VOICE 2008.
The journey so far has been a great one. Despite coming from different classes and cliques, we put all our differences aside and work towards our ultimate goal – Vietnam. Bonding sessions that we had really help us bond as a team. The outing to Habourfront with the Yishun Student Care Centre, the family carnival and the latest event, the carnival organized by SIA. During these events, we really had to cast what we are familiar with aside and work with one another. I believe, we all grew, as a team and as individuals.
In the times of need, I guess we are all grateful when we see our people volunteering to help out, be it to pack the logistic items or simply, to provide emotional support for each other in times of need. Hanging out with each and every one of you really made a difference in my life, because I really got to learn a lot from everyone.
Counting down, we are left with only 6 days to our trip. It is now when things get hectic as we get ready to head off to Vietnam. I really cannot wait for the trip, because, I know it is one journey I will not forget and which I will enjoy, because I am accompanied by a wonderful group of fun-loving people(:
